NZ go extra mile at IVF World Sprints

NZ teams feature strongly in most of today's semi-finals races, so there's a chance that NZ could welcome more medals when the finals of most races are held tomorrow.

Today saw the heats of the 1000m W6 races, which sees teams using their waka turning skills. The semi-finals for the singles races were also held today.

Apart from the competition, the usual Cultural night was held last night, in order to bring all the countries together on a friendly level.

NZ of course stole the show on the night, with many people wanting to witness the Māori culture.  With more than 33 final races held tomorrow, there's no doubt NZ medal tally will be heavier in 24 hours.
