New Zealand's top Touch players will depart for Australia this week, to compete at the Open Trans-Tasman Test Series being held in Mudgee starting this Friday.

Mita Graham has travelled overseas many times with his NZ Open Mens Touch team

Now he will add another trip to that tally, as he flies to Mudgee NSW, to prepare for the Open Trans tasman Test Series

In last years 2013 Trans Tasman series New Zealand took out the competition, after winning performances by the Open Mens and Open Mixed grades, Mita hopes to do that again this year.

One of the new players to the side is Tai Wananga student, Jerome Nonoa

With just 12 months to go until the Touch World Cup, no doubt both countries will want to go in as favourites. The series starts this Friday, and will be held for three days, with finals on Sunday
