NZFW: Miromoda sponsorship signed, sealed, delivered by NZ Post

NZ Fashion Week kicked off today at Auckland's ANZ Viaduct Centre. NZ Post are the sponsors of the event and for the first time will also be supporting Miromoda.

Ata Te Kawana, founder of Miromoda, knows what it takes to be at the top of her game during fashion week.

But a big surprise this year was New Zealand Post becoming Miromoda's leading sponsor.

“It's a very bold brand shift on their part,” says Te Kanawa, “We're grateful because this validates what we've been trying to do for the last eight years. It's kind of like they have got us.”

Sharon Moynagh, NZ Post’s Brand & Sponsorship manager elaborates, “The purpose of our partnership with Miromoda is basically to help Miromoda designers establish themselves in the industry by giving them logistic know-how as they grow.”

The Miromoda show will enter into it's eighth year at New Zealand Fashion Week.

Te Kanawa believes New Zealand Post jumping on board this year is hugely significant.

“I'm sure that designers that we've had in the past will agree with envy,” says Te Kanawa.

“With the changing face of how consumers are now buying online, designers need a strong partner help deliver fashion to their followers,” says Moynagh.

Ten Miromoda Fashion Designers will showcase their pieces this week.

“Five of them are debuting this year but we've invited a Samoan fashion designer as well, as a guest,” says Te Kanawa, “So we're very excited about that.”
