Pakuranga are already planning a big club day for when they host the Bulldogs.
Last night, the 16 NRL teams were paired up with 16 Auckland rugby league teams.
The Sharks are with Ōtāhuhu, while Manly were paired up with Richmond and the harbour club, Glenfield, were the lucky ones with NRL champions Roosters.
Pakuranga know how lucky they are to have this opportunity to meet the NRL stars from the Bulldogs for their children, their membership and the whole community.
According to Dan Keepa, “It's going to be huge for the kids, local stars like Sam Kasiano and Greg Eastwood from Manurewa Marlins and having those guys come back to the roots of the game, it's awesome!"
Just like the Pakuranga club, all the Auckland clubs involved will reap the rewards of this initiative.
