Parole granted for toddler Nia Glassie's mother

The mother of murdered toddler Nia Glassie has been granted parole, with the Parole Board saying that Lisa Kuka no longer poses an undue risk to the safety of the community.

41-year-old Kuka was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2009 for manslaughter for Kuka failing to protect and provide the necessaries of life to her 3-year-old daughter.

Kuka was granted parole in February this year but that was revoked when problems with her accommodation emerged.
