Police search for missing pair in Tuakau

Police are concerned for the safety of 15-year old Te Mōrehu Mclean and 7-year-old Anahera Mclean who left a Tuakau address on Monday 18 July at around 10pm and haven't been seen since.

Police Search and Rescue teams have been actively looking for the pair during the night.

Inspector Kay Lane says, “While the pair left on foot we are looking into the possibility they may have been picked up in a vehicle by someone known to them.

We believe they may be heading north towards Auckland where they have extended family and would like to hear from anyone who has information about their whereabouts that may help us find them,”

Te Mōrehu is described as a 5 foot 7 tall male with a solid build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing Nike shoes, light brown coloured pants and a Kathmandu puffer jacket.

Anahera is a female and was seen last seen wearing a 'Frozen' type onesie. She is described as being average height with a small build.

The pair left the Potter Road address on foot, carrying a large suitcase.

Police are asking the public for any information to assist them in locating the pair. They also ask that residents of the Tuakau area check their buildings and sheds and to let Police know if they locate anything or anyone.
