Rangatahi and their thoughts on Waitangi Day

Youth have expressed their thoughts, and although they weren't specifically on the Treaty of Waitangi and New Zealand, they were thinking about the next 175 years ahead for the nation.

Artists like Black Seeds, Hollie Smith and more were brought in to Ōrākei with the hope of drawing rangatahi in, and what better way than to find out their perspective on the Treaty of Waitangi.

Just like the ever-changing weather conditions, so too are the opinions shared by the younger tier.

One young spectator told Te Kāea that it's a day of celebrating peace, while another was more impressed about it being a "day off".

It seems overall though that they're all about moving forward, and they definitely weren't shy about sharing their vision for the future.
