* Child poverty levels in New Zealand are still a major concern. According to The Salvation Army – Moving Targets report 2016, there has been very limited progress in reducing these rates over the past five years.

* More than 1000 Auckland bus drivers will take industrial action this Friday. The public is being advised to plan ahead and look for other means of transport. 

* The All Blacks will return to Soldier Field in Chicago to play Ireland for the first time on American soil, and the Māori Blacks will take on the USA Eagles.
