Rugby fans gear up for today's big match

Fans all around the country today will be waiting in anticipation for the historic match between the All Blacks and Manu Samoa in Apia.

Several venues in Auckland will prepare to host the many Manu Samoa fans. They'll gather in Otahuhu at the RFC Clubrooms to watch the live broadcast that is due to kick off at 2pm.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive at the venue at 12pm, to ensure they get a prime seat.

It is also expected that many will take the afternoon off for the game.

As well as the Otahuhu event, another screening of the match will take place at a venue at the Auckland waterfront for Pasifika businesses and families.

Events like this are also being held in Wellington. The call has gone out to supporters to attend the screening at Hotel Bristol this afternoon.

The limited capacity at Apia Park for the first home test led the Samoa Rugby Union to allow the live broadcast on local TV One. Prior to this, the Rugby Union originally planned to set up huge TV screens at selected places in Savaii Island for the public to watch the match.

The much anticipated game will be broadcasted live on Sky Sport 1 from 1:15pm.
