Second leg of Hawaiki Nui Va'a Race

To Waka Ama. and the second leg of the Hawaiki Nui where one of the top teams to look out for came from behind to win.

For all the details about the race, Te Kāea crossed to our Rahia Timutimu in Tahiti.

The second day of the Hawaiki Nui competition, was the shortest race of the three-day competition at just 22km. While it was supposed to be the easiest, the paddlers were certainly up against it. There was a range of elements for paddlers to battle on the water which included strong winds from the south, big swells and even hard pouring rain, making it a hard task for many crews, except for one who were today's winners.
