Silver Ferns gather in Auckland for Commonwealth prep

The Silver Ferns have gathered in Auckland to prepare for the Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

Four Māori have been included in the squad:

Joline Henry (Te Ati Haunui a Pāpārangi)

Liana Leota (Ngāti Whititama)

Cathrine Latu (Ngāpuhi)

Jodi Brown (Ngāti Rauru)

While the team leaves on July 14, Leota flies out a few days earlier to settle her kids in Manchester with her husband who plays rugby over there.

She will join the Silver Ferns in Bath for their last camp before the games start.

Leota says as defending champs they'll be focusing in on the pools games first before thinking about the semi-finals or finals.
