OZ go head-to-head with NZ at Trans-Tasman Touch series

The Trans-Tasman Touch series are being held at present in Australia and last night, the men's game took place between NZ and Australia.

It was a real battle between both teams. Scott Buckley was first on the scoreboard for Australia in the opening set.

The lead was short lived however, with Thomas Fitzgerald scoring for NZ soon after, to level the game up at 1-1.

Australia scored again with a try by Sam Brisby and then Buckley scored his second of the match to extend the half-time score to 3-1.

Soon after the break, NZ came back. It was due to the hard work of Shaquille Stone that moved them forward. However, Australia came back more eager and after a while the score became 4-2.

Two consecutive touchdowns to NZ through Henry Tuatea and Ruamai Erueti levelled the game up at 4-4.

Australia came home strong with three unanswered touchdowns to take the game 7-4.

The NZ men's team, as we speak, are playing another game, and shortly we'll have the results.
