Gunnar Jackson lasts 10 rounds with Mundine

Australian boxer Anthony Mundine has claimed his 46th career win over Tūhoe and Ngāti Porou middleweight fighter Gunnar Jackson in a unanimous point's decision last night in Brisbane, Australia.

Jackson accepted the fight despite having little time to prepare for the bout.

Jackson managed withstand 10 rounds against the sixth ranked best fighter in his weight division in the world and the NZ boxing community say Jackson should be pleased with his performance.

Mundine is expected to return to the ring in April and will continue to consider himself as a potential Floyd Mayweather challenger.

Jackson will return to NZ tomorrow afternoon.
