Stars shine at 2013 VNZMAs

Last night, the winners of the 2013 Annual Vodafone NZ Music Awards were announced at Vector Arena.

Stan Walker, Fat Freddy's Drop, Aaradhna and Shapeshifter were just some who took home awards.

It was a night to celebrate NZ's most distinguished music artists, with some thinking their outfits and clothes were more important than the music.

Lorde opened the night with her hit song "Royals".

She received five awards; Single of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Best Music Video, Best International Artist and the People's Choice award.

He hosted, he performed, and Stan Walker also took home an award last night, the NZ On Air Radio Airplay Award for his song "Take it Easy" ad he was very surprised.

Aaradhna was another one who was successful last night, winning three awards; Album of the Year, Best Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Hip Hop Album for "Treble and Reverb".

The Best Māori Language Album award went to Maisey Rika for "Whitiora".
