Arguably one of the most celebrated kapa haka to date, with a glittering history of pomp and ceremony, Waihīrere are stronger than ever in 2014.
Under the array of benchmark of excellence set by past leaders of Waihīrere, including Bill Kerekere, Ngāpō and Pimia Wehi and recently Tangiwai and George Ria, Waihīrere has won the national competition an unprecedented five titles (1972, 1979, 1988, 1998, 2002).
This afternoon Waihīrere delivered an ensemble of some of their greatest hits.
