Tairi vying for another spot in Silver Ferns

Courtenay Tairi knows there's much work to be done if she's named again in the Silver Ferns' line-up for the second match of the Constellation Cup Series against Australia on Thursday.

The admission came from the Tainui descendant at the Ferns' first training since their victory on Sunday.

In her international debut, the Māori netballer played the first half of the first clash of the Constellation Cup and learnt a lot in that half hour of play.

Coach Waimarama Taumaunu was happy with her first game, but says she needs to improve if she's selected again this week.

Joline Henry also got her first international game in nearly two years, after giving birth to her son this year.

The NZ team will have to forget about the first game and focus on the second, which will be held this Thursday at Vector Arena.
