Police have released the name of the man who died following an alleged shooting in Papakura early this morning.
He was 26-year-old Shon Tyson Wanahi who was originally from Taranaki but lived in Papakura for many years.
Police say a 28-year-old man charged with his alleged murder will appear in the Manukau District Court on Monday.
“We have also recovered a swornoff shotgun we believe was used in the incident. We are also working with whānau and victim support to offer support to them in this time of loss,” says Senior Sergeant Rod Honan.
