Te Kura Wiwini, Te Kura Wawana - Ngā Tūmanako o Kahurangi ki Maungawhau

Ngā Tūmanako o Kahurangi ki Maungawhau hails from Tāmaki Makaurau and is comprised of students from Auckland Girls Grammar School.

The group is tutored by Te Whānau o Kahurangi ki Maungawhau, Baylee Watene Kay is the manukura wāhine and Stevie Northover is the kaiarataki wāhine.

The kapa was established in 1986 by Arapera Blank (nee Kaa).

This is the seventh time this group has graced the national stage.  The group was established with encouragement from the school whānau as a whole, and to promote mātauranga and mana wāhine Māori.

The team bracket is dedicated to former tutor Raymond Whiti Tapene also known as 'Papa Bones' who passed away in November last year.

Here is the group's haka which is dedicated to empowering and embodying the mana of wāhine and kōtiro Māori.
