Te Kapa Haka o Te Kura ā-Rohe o Te Whānau a Apanui hails from the Mataatua rohe, this is the 8th time they have competed on the national stage.
The group was established by kuia and koroua of the kura in an effort to empower and help maintain the unique reo and mita of Te Whānau a Apanui.
The group is tutored by Te Reweti Wharepapa, Missy Greaves and Rikirangi Gage.
