Te Wharekura o Manurewa progresses

Excitement builds for the students and families of Te Wharekura o Manurewa as a dream to build a new Māori secondary school progresses a step closer with the approval of the final plans.

Discussion between the Board and the Ministry of Education have been on-going for 12 years, there's been ups and  downs, stalling, heated debates, give and take from both sides, however the guiding principles have always been evident.

According to Bryanne Reed, “I'm really excited that things are happening, and I can't wait to eventually see our new school.”

The families are hoping all goes well with the Education Minister, and maybe construction of their new school can begin at the end of this year or early Next Year.
