The SAS Secondary Schools National Championships is underway in Palmerston North which features some of the most talented young basketball players in the country.
Yesterday Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Kura Kokiri from Tauranga won the A grade, beating Opunake in the final 60 – 86 and making them the first kura kaupapa to take it out.
Today teams in the AA grade will compete in the semi-finals in the hope of making it through to the finals tomorrow.
