Despite the wet weather conditions people still turned out in full to Christmas in the Park and police said the event went off without any major incident but it was afterwards when the trouble started.
Cell phone vision which has been circulating on Facebook shows a fight at the Britomart station last night as people waited to catch the train home.
Train staff managed to separate the boys but they then started throwing objects at each other.
Auckland Transport said the boys had been fighting earlier which had been stopped by police but when they entered the train station it started again.
