TPP protests take over Auckland's CBD

Words that resonated through the CBD of Auckland.   People from all walks of life, different parts of the country, stood in unity.

Kiwa Huata (Ngāti Kahungunu) says, "I'm here to fight for my rights.  For our land rights and everyone's rights in New Zealand."

Alicia Sophie-Iti (Ngāpuhi) says, "I'm so proud at how many people have come today, Māori, non-Māori, everyone from around the world.  It's awesome!"

Hundreds of Police lined Federal Street, where some protesters went in face-to-face.

Julia Espinoza says, "We were unsure as to how many people would turn up being two events on today.  But we hope that it's a really strong indication that there is going to be again a few more thousand people to the midday march."

Many who took part in today's demonstration, had their own reasons for participating.

Others weren't too sure on the intricacies of the deal.  But the opposing voices from the street didn't deter the signing indoors.

The protesters will travel overnight to the Far North, Te Tii Marae where they were expected to voice their concerns to Prime Minister John Key.
