Tua meets with Māori Party

He's the first non-Māori to have been approached to stand for the Māori Party, however according to the political Party's General Manager, he has all the right attributes to be a positive addition to the Party.

Yesterday David Tua met with Norm McKenzie and vice-president Donna Gardiner, to talk through the deal.

The former boxer is now deliberating if this is the best choice for him to make, and will get back to the Māori Party in the new year with his decision.

There is no secret though that the Māori Party is not the only political party David is considering and no doubt will be having other similar meetings over recent weeks.

Te Kaea tried to make contact with David today but he was unreachable.
