Two black jerseys for Waaka siblings

The Black Ferns will be blooding new players in their tour to Canada at the end of the month.

One of the debutantes is following in the footsteps of her brother who also put on the black jersey for the first time this year.

It has been an amazing year for the Waaka whānau.  Brother Beaudein debuting for the All Blacks Sevens team in Wellington and Stacey Waaka making the Black Ferns.

“We’ve still got our core experienced players but bringing the new players through I think it will be good for the development of NZ rugby and women’s in general so I'm just happy to be one of the new faces in the team,” says Stacey.

No doubt the Waaka siblings will display some brilliant play on the field.
