UFC's James Te Huna makes home debut

UFC has confirmed that James Te Huna will make his debut as a middleweight and headline the UFC's long-awaited first appearance in NZ and Te Huna is excited he'll be fighting in his home country in two months’ time.

The UFC Fight Night will be staged in Auckland and will take place at Vector Arena on Saturday, June 28.

He'll face former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nate Marquardt.

No other fights have been announced yet, but heavyweight Mark Hunt won't feature as he's still recovering from a serious hand injury.

There is talk on the cards of a fight between Dylan Andrews from Tūhoe and Robert Whittaker.
