Unemployment major issue for Waiariki voters

Unemployment is the major issue for the Te Waiariki electorate, and the results of a Māori Television poll clearly show who most voters want to remedy this situation.

If the election was held tomorrow, Labour would win the party vote in Te Waiariki.

Poll results show 35% want Labour in Government, 26% support the Māori Party, Internet-MANA is third with 14% of the support, with National at 11%.

NZ First is on 8%, with the Greens on 5%, the Conservatives on 1%.  ACT and United Future did not rate.

Te Ururoa Flavell is the most preferred candidate and is well ahead of MANA's Annette Sykes by 29%.

Rawiri Waititi of the Labour Party is on 17%.  Pat Spellman only gained 2% of support within the Waiariki electorate.

Out of all the Māori electorates, the Waiariki electorate has the worst employment figures, so the question is what policies do the parties offer to address that and do voters trust them?
