Waikato-BOP Magic take out Central Pulse

The Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic game against the Central Pulse last night has made headlines with Casey Kopua returning from injury.

She tore the patella tendon in her left knee in the Sydney test of the Constellation Cup series against Australia last October.

Her heart rate was pumping.  The superstar defender was injected into the second quarter of the match with a grand entrance.

Earlier on in the match, it was a topsy-turvy flow.  But individual flair saw one side push ahead.

The game only got tougher for the Wellington side.  The Magic onslaught took them out to a five-goal lead.

There were a few changes in the third quarter.

Taking Kopua off for much needed rest meant more challenges for the home side.

But bringing her back in the last quarter gave the skipper more momentum.

The Magic wrapped up the game with a five-goal win, final score: 52-47.
