Wellington Lions well prepared for ITM Cup Final

The Wellington Lions have prepared well to host Canterbury in tomorrow night's ITM Cup final at Westpac Stadium.

Māori Lions player, Tim Bateman believes despite the odds against them, his side have been inform and are ready for the challenge.

Changes to the game plan will have to come into effect with wet and windy conditions expected for tomorrow.

The Wellington Lions haven't won in 13 years,

And the odds are against them with reigning champions, Canterbury looking for their sixth consecutive title.

In the last 10 years Wellington have made the semi-finals eight times.

In 2009 was their last final appearance where they were beaten by Canterbury.

Ironically, Tim Bateman was part of Canterbury and has tasted success in 2008 and 2009 before joining Japanese side West Red Sparks.
