Whangarei Mai Tawhiti claim 4th '2degrees Kapa Haka Super 12's' win

Crowds at Auckland Viaduct got a taste of Māori culture this weekend at the 2degrees Kapa Haka Super 12s. It's a contemporary kapa haka competition where 12 members from every team compete for 12 minutes to win $7000.

The competition also showcased younger rōpu, like Western Springs High School, who got a positive reaction from the crowd.

Teams from around the country put their heart and soul into the performances, hoping to be crowned winner. This year Whangarei Mai Tawhiti took the prize for the 4th time in a row.
