He is renowned for playing the guitar, and because of the way he plays he is highly sort after by haka groups all around the coast.
For two years, he has been teaching children at Te Kura a-rohe o Mangatuna how to play the ukulele. Now, students at Te Kuranui Rūmaki Reo i Te Kura a-rohe o Ūawa have come under his tutelage.
