WWI servicemen returning from war depicted in new large scale murals

Ahead of the WWI commemorations, the Grey Lynn RSC has just finished work on some large scale murals in Auckland.

Dan Tippett, one of the two artists who worked on the piece, says not only does it depict WWI servicemen returning from war, a member of the Māori Battalion and a lone bugler.

Its aim is to encourage the community to help better support returned servicemen.

The official unveiling ceremony of the murals is happening today.
